To commemorate National Health Day (HKN) 2025, PT Dahana organized an educational webinar and Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) for HIV/AIDS under the theme “Prevention, Management, and Elimination of HIV/AIDS Stigma in the Workplace.” This series of activities took place over two days, from November 18 to 19, 2025, at the Dahana Campus in Subang, West Java.
Ivan Angga, Head of Occupational Health and Safety (K3L) and Security at PT Dahana, expressed that this initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to employee health and safety. He emphasized that employee well-being is a fundamental pillar for maintaining productivity and ensuring the sustainability of the company’s operations.
“For Dahana, employee health is our greatest asset and must be carefully safeguarded. On National Health Day 2025, we aim to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, which is often considered taboo. Through appropriate education, we hope to foster a better understanding and protect all Dahana employees from serious health risks,” stated Mr Angga.
The activities began on Tuesday with a webinar featuring expert speaker Laurensia Ana Yuliastanti Iriyani, Chief Learning Officer of the Victory Plus Yogyakarta Foundation. With her extensive experience in HIV/AIDS advocacy and education, Laurensia provided valuable insights to PT Dahana employees regarding prevention strategies, management, and effective steps to eliminate the stigma surrounding people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV/AIDS) at Dahana.
In line with this commitment, PT Dahana has established an HIV/AIDS prevention and management policy (P2HIV/AIDS). This policy serves as an essential reference for creating a healthy and inclusive workplace environment. Its primary goal is to protect employee rights, provide comprehensive education to all parties, and eliminate stigma and discrimination stemming from a lack of understanding about HIV/AIDS.
On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the committee facilitated HIV/AIDS testing through the Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) scheme in collaboration with the Cibogo District Community Health Center at the Dahana Clinic. This early detection measure is crucial for breaking the chain of transmission and ensuring optimal health protection. The VCT scheme enables employees to learn their health status in a confidential and safe manner, while fostering a caring and supportive work environment.
Mr Angga added that the enthusiasm and openness of employees participating in these activities signal a positive shift in the Company’s health culture. He emphasized that a proper understanding of HIV/AIDS not only protects individuals but also strengthens solidarity among employees by alleviating unfounded fears and discrimination in the workplace.
“We express our deepest gratitude to the management of PT Dahana for their full support, which made this event possible. We hope that through this webinar and VCT testing, we can completely eliminate the negative stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS from our workplace, allowing all employees to work in a calm, healthy, and increasingly productive manner,” concluded Mr Angga.
